Scientists Level 2

The story goes that one afternoon Newton was sitting in his garden. Suddenly an apple fell from a tree. Newton began to wonder why the apple had fallen straight down. Why hadn't it fallen sideways, or even upwards? What force pulled it in that particular direction?
